Macy’s, Inc. believes in giving back to our local communities. Our contributions, leadership and volunteer efforts help create stronger, healthier places for our customers and associates to work and live.
Collectively, contributions in 2014 from the company – as well as employee contributions through workplace giving campaigns and customer contributions through our signature giving programs – totaled more than $69 million. In addition, our associates gave more than 188,000 hours of their time for community service.
Marshall Field’s Gives is a philanthropic endeavor dedicated to supporting worthy causes in local communities.
It is centered primarily around programs supporting projects that inspire children to read and learn, arts and cultural organizations that stimulate the imagination and social service programs that strengthen the lives of children and families.
When Macy’s took over operations of Marshall Field’s, the naming & campaign were kept and is now called Macy’s Gives.
