Hot Notes is a evening musical and dance benefit for the Minneapolis Southwest High School. All proceeds support the school’s on-going performing arts programs.
Wink donated our time by designing the branding for the benefit. Playful illustrations showcasing the musical instruments, theatrical performances, and dancing numbers performed for Hot Notes were applied to numerous design applications, including posters, shirts, programs, and drinking glasses.
With the logomark, Wink wanted to convey the hot and cold aspects in the name of the event. The flame on the tail of the note (the note is so hot it’s literally on fire), where the bottom of the note is comprised of a snowflake (since the musical party always takes place in wintertime during the evening).
The new cohesive branding and messaging facilitated a big increase in income for the benefit with over $70K in donations.
