Marshall Field’s wanted to inform and update women’s accessory (jewelry, shoes & purses) vendors on the history and recent repositioning of it’s Chicago State Street flagship store. The challenge was to build on over 150 years of retail heritage and update partners on the recent, dramatic changes at Field’s. The solution was to utilize traditional design techniques such as letterpress, silk-screened illustration, hand tied tags, and “brown” bags in a modern way. All packaged within the form of a ladies purse for overall effect.
The first kit was so successful, Marshall Field’s wanted a kit the following year for their jewelry only department.
