Wink is going south.

ADAI

All the way down to Iowa! Its not quite far enough for the dialect to change significantly, but hopefully it'll be a bit warmer. In any event, the reason we're going is we will be giving a presentation to the Art Directors Association of Iowa on Dec. 15 at the Meredith Conference Core. The evening begins at 5:30pm with a "social" and at 6:15pm we strut our stuff. So if you happen to be in the area, please do NOT drop by! We get a little nervous around big crowds, so the fewer people who attend the better our talk will be.

The Hurricane Poster Project

Hurricane Posters

Moxie Sozo, a nationally known design firm in Boulder, Colorado is teaming up with other designers and design firms (like Wink) from around the country to create The Hurricane Poster Project. The Hurricane Poster Project sought limited edition sets of hurricane-related posters from high-profile and up-and-coming artists, designers, and design firms from around the United States and abroad. The donated posters are being sold online, and all proceeds will go directly to the Red Cross. As designers, we have the collective ability to do what we love, AND to make a difference. THE HURRICANE POSTER PROJECT has been conceived as a collective effort by the design community to unite and effect change through our work. In order for this project to be successful, we are counting on designer participation. Our goal is to raise at least $1,000,000 for the Red Cross through this project.

Welcome to Wink, Minneapolis

Well the website is finally up, and functioning, as far as we know. As we mentioned earlier, before you "clicked here", this section will contain: blogs, random lists, recipes, movie reviews, our inter-office football pool results, the occasional photo or two, short stories, long stories, anecdotes, trade secrets, and all sorts of fodder. Its also a nice little venue for us to dispell rumors, like the one going around about the feud with Michael Beirut. We've never even met him, so why would we toilet paper his house? In any event, the sundries sitelet is just a little bonus for those of you who are actually interested in a little more than just the work. Again, enjoy but please don’t write letters. Comments, however, are welcome. Just click below, or wherever you see the word "comments" in blue.
