It's official, our next President.

It's no secret to anyone who knows me that I'm a KISS fan. I know, I know...the older I get, it's not very fashionable to like something that seems so cheesy & cliche' to a large portion of the general public. Not to mention, it dates my age! But who cares...I am what I am.
In the 3rd grade, I started drawing the KISS logo over and over and moved on to drawing the members of the band. It was my first step into the field of graphic design and I often mention this as an early influence in my career. Dave @ Grain Edit requested during an interview that I show some of my artwork from back then...I'm letting my freak flag fly!

This past weekend I was in the car with my two kids, Greta (3) and Louie (5) who were in the back-seat and their conversation turned to who is funnier. It started out as what cartoons are they thought were funny...for instance, "who is funnier, Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck?"

So Louie asked Greta, "Who's funnier, a Werewolf or Dad?" Greta answered "Werewolf"

Next, Louie asked Greta, "Who's funnier, a bike or Dad?" Greta answered "A bike"

"Okay Greta, the next one you have to say is Dad, or Dad feelings are going to be hurt," said Louie

He asked, "Who's funnier, garbage or Dad?" Greta answered, "garbage"

Finally, Louie asked Greta, "Who's funnier, a door or Dad?"

Greta's answer, "a door".

After replacing a torn ACL in his knee, living through the tugging and pulling of 2 young kids, sitting still through many 9-hour cross country car rides and being diagnosed with internal bowel disease as a pup, Prince has finally made it to 10 years of age!
So, that's what, 70 in human years?
We got him when he was six weeks old from the humane society, weighing only 6 lbs and he could fit in the palm of my hand. This boxer-lab-mix has grown into a 75 lb bundle of energy that loves to play, lick, hide under blankets and alert us to the UPS guy.

Wink made a trip out to the Black Hills end of August. I visited with family in Rapid City and showed Richard the beautiful Black Hills area that I grew up in as a youth. The trout fishing was superb around Spearfish.

Check out the recent Dunkin' Donuts commercial. It was directed by Zach Braff (Scrubs, Garden State)....hmm, never pictured him as a KISS fan.
